Jenny Beadnall
BSc (Hons), CTA
Jenny is from Stockton on Tees and studied at Teesside University where she gained a degree in Applied Science and Consumer Law. She joined the firm straight from University and trained here to achieve her Chartered Tax Advisor status. Jenny is the firm's Tax Director and specialises in capital gains tax planning and HMRC investigations. Jenny's wide knowledge of the tax system, together with the tax department enables the firm to advise in almost all areas of taxation to achieve efficiencies and stress-free compliance.
Simon Davies
MMath, FCA
Simon lives in Darlington and studied at the University of York, earning a masters degree in Mathematics. He trained and qualified in York before joining Mitchell Gordon in 2005. Simon worked predominantly as an auditor at first but has gained significant experience in all aspects of accountancy. He specialises in petrol forecourt retailers and pension schemes. Simon has worked with most industries including the leisure industry, construction and manufacturing.
Karl Gordon
BA (Hons), FCCA
Karl is originally from Newton Aycliffe but now lives in Darlington. He studied at Bangor University where he succeeded in obtaining a degree in Economics. Karl joined the firm from University and gained his ACCA status here. Karl's background is in accounts and auditing. He specialises in the audits and compliance of charities and friendly and provident societies. He also has had a lot of experience of clients in the manufacturing and transport industries.
Lee Harris
BSc (Hons), FCCA
Lee grew up in Spennymoor but has now settled in West Auckland. Lee studied at the University of York where he gained a degree in Mathematics. Lee trained at Mitchell Gordon to gain his ACCA qualification. Lee's background is in accounts and auditing. He specialises in FCA regulated companies, solicitors and mergers and acquisitions. He also has experience in a wide range of industries including the financial sector, transport and construction.
Nick Vassilounis
BA (Hons), FCA
Nick lives in Darlington. He studied Accountancy at Manchester University. Nick trained at the Bishop Auckland office of Mitchells before moving across to Darlington to help establish the Mitchell Gordon brand within the town. Nick has a great deal of interest across all areas of accountancy and has dealt with clients from most industries. He specialises in detailed tax planning, tax mitigation and auditing of clients in areas including manufacturing, consultancy and the food industries. Nick also has a lot of experience in business recovery and advising clients in this respect.
